Welcome to Keeping the Kingdom First! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or email digest for free updates. Thanks for visiting!

Shannon over at Rocks In My Dryer (a fabulous blog) is hosting the American Idol of Haiku writing. Yep, you read that correctly. Haiku, a form of poetry. Today she selected 5 finalists, and is letting America decide who should win $1000!

Sadly, I am not a finalist, but I did enter a haiku yesterday.

This one’s for you, Mom:

Four daughters to love
Mother and father in one
Hands that never rest

Head over to Rocks In My Dryer for a good laugh or a good cry. There are some wonderfully moving haikus for your reading pleasure.

Enjoy!

Wow, very nice!

Glad to see this award-winning writer is still creating poetry.

Love you! Mom
