Did you know that The Home Depot is a proud sponsor of the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team? I should probably know that, but since I am without television, I am missing the Olympics. *sniff*
I recently discovered that for every click on the “Help Support Team USA” banner located on Home Depot’s home page, they donate $1 to Team USA. How easy is that?
In other Home Depot news, parents mark your calendars! On Saturday, September 6th, your kidlets can enjoy a free Kids Workshop between 9am and noon at all Home Depot stores.
Just in time for football season, they will enjoy making one of these:
Home Depot also offers free workshops for grown-ups:
Do it yourself home improvement, now that is frugal!
And, just in case you missed it, register for the Home Depot Garden Club:
My garden needs all the help it can get, so I am really enjoying this club. I hope you do, too!

Very nice! Just wanted to let you know, even though you don’t have TV… you can still catch the olympics streaming live on NBC’s website. Happy day.

Hey Alyssa,
Thanks for the nice comments about The Home Depot – I’m glad you find all of the info inspirational and useful.
We actually just recently put all of our Olympic commercials up on YouTube so you can see them there even without a TV. Check here: http://is.gd/1qiu and let us know what you think. The commercials feature several of our Olympic Job Opportunities Program (OJOP) athletes – hope you enjoy them!
All the best,
