What a month! The second week of September is upon us, and I am finally recapping the month of August.
August was a very busy month, both for my blog and my family. We attempted a frugal vacation in California. We got some frugal new wheels! My step-son came for another visit, and school started for my now 3rd grader.
Visits were up another 19% over July. Over 300 of you became new subscribers. Welcome!
I also announced my involvement with Walmart’s 11 moms. A lot of time was spent behind the scenes with my fellow Walmart bloggers. I have really gotten to know several of them, and I must say I am truly honored to be working with this group of women.
In the meantime, I discovered a little surprise, and continue to battle fatigue and morning sickness. As a result, I have not been posting as frequently as I would like. Not to worry, I am not going anywhere. Hopefully I will be feeling much better by next month!

I’m kinda new to this whole coupon/CVS/Walgreen’s shopping thing. My questsion is that reading this entry was the first time I had heard anyone talk about a free item once a month at CVS. Was that just an August special or do they do that every month?

Hi LaDonna, thanks for the comment! As far as I know, August was the first time CVS had a completely free item. I believe it was a customer loyalty reward for all Extra Care holders.
You can obtain other free items each week at CVS by shopping strategically with ECBs and coupons. Hopefully there will be more customer appreciation freebies in the future!
