Free Online Entertainment Resources

I am realizing more and more that almost all of our entertainment needs/wants can now be met through the internet.

There are online magazines, TV shows, movies, music, and talk radio right at your fingertips- for free!

Here are my favorite free online entertainment resources:

Most recently, I discovered Pandora.com, free internet radio, with no commercials. I love this site! You create a profile, select your favorite genres, and listen whenever you want.

Pandora gives you information about your favorites songs and artists, and allows you to bookmark them. I can sit enjoy great music through my computer while blogging, checking email, or Twittering.

And yes, in case you are wondering, they do have lots of Christian music available.

Another favorite of mine is Hulu.com- an online video service that offers hit TV shows, movies and clips for free- anytime!

Hulu requires no downloads or anything special. All you need is a Flash 9.0 enabled computer and an internet connection.

Children’s programming is available on Hulu as well. Right now, your kiddos can enjoy Jonah: A Veggie Tales Movie. No need to rent anything!

Looking for an online magazine with a little bit of everything? Blissfully Domestic is an online magazine devoted to real life. It is 100% managed and written by real women. They even have a frugal section!

And of course, I have to mention Blog Talk Radio. You can listen to live or archived shows on almost any subject under the sun. The Elevenmoms now have their own featured channel on Blog Talk Radio, with several shows throughout the week.

We also have a new Facebook fan page for the radio show to keep y’all up to date on the latest shows, topics, and giveaways. You are welcome to join!

Oh my goodness! Thanks for the hulu.com link! Amazing! We don’t have cable, so I feel like sometimes I miss out on my favorite shows and movies! Wish I had known about this site while on 13 weeks of bedrest during my pregnancy last year! Thanks for the info! Love your blog by the way! I know I can trust your sources and your values.

Love Hulu. The kids have watched that Veggie Tales movie on there humpteen times. We actually wired our computer into our television so we can watch our movies on the big screen. I don’t know how to do this, but hubby was all over it. We also watch a lot of stuff right from the channel’s websites so we can catch up on series shows. So fun!

Hi!
Thank you for sharing this. Heard about blog talk radio but don’t know what it meant. Now I knew.
See you around.
