Wordless Wednesday: Coupon Slacker

March 18, 2009 · 21 comments

This is my kitty relaxing on her new favorite spot…

… my neglected coupon binder! Someday soon, I will tackle my beloved binder. Until then, my inserts sit uncut, filed by date.

It’s okay to let coupons take a back seat while pregnant, don’t you agree?

Mine is terribly neglect as well, and I don’t have nearly as good of an excuse!

Happy WW!

I haven’t cut any coupons and filed since November. And I’m not pregnant. LOL I just write the date on the front and clip as needed, this is working for me at the moment :)

I cut mine yesterday, but still haven’t filed them. Some had expired in December=P and I’m not pregnant either.

You appear to have a nice calm cat. Must be nice. Mines crazy and she thinks she’s a dog!

I’ve clipped, but not filed…keep meaning to… :) My excuse was our wedding in December, but I’m going to have to buckle under and make myself do something with it soon, because I don’t think I can get much more time out of my excuse…yours is perfectly valid!! :D And at least your binder isn’t lonely…it has lovely company! :)

Yes, my kitty is pretty calm, but that was not always the case! She is nearly 5 years old and spends most of her days sleeping.

Find the coupon system that works best for you, I always say!

I haven’t cut coupons since January! And I’m not pregnant, so I have no excuse!

So cute!! And, yes it’s OK for you to take a break for now! Maybe you just need to train your cat to clip coupons for you. :)

Yes, I would say you have a great excuse. I’m still trying to come up with an excuse for the sad state of my binder at the moment…

Looks to me like the cat is giving you a friendly reminder!

It is better for me to not clip coupons. I keep them in a folder and I have started to print a list of what coupons are in each week’s inserts. I can quickly scan my list and then flip to the insert and clip what I need when I need it. A lot less clipping and organizing.

I haven’t bought coupons in TWO WEEKS! I feel like I’m seriously missing out. I just have to keep reminding myself – there will be other coupons…

Absolutely! When Alice launches we’ll make it so you don’t even have to worry about this kind of thing, pregnant or not :)

I’m not pregnant, but mine are in disarray as well! Life just gets busy sometimes, and couponing is not top priority, nor should it be.

In all honesty, though, I’ve found that I use MANY more printables than newspaper coupons, so I think that’s one reason I’m losing some motivation to clip the inserts…

Lol, you’re not alone in your neglect of your inserts. I have several stacks just begging me to look through them. But with a new baby, I’m just too tired so they’ll sit a little longer. lol

How cute! Your cat looks exactly like mine! Don’t worry, when nesting hits you, you will get a lot done!

What’s a good excuse if you’re me and you AREN’T pregnant? Love the blog and radio show, Alyssa. Good luck and God Bless with all that you do! You’ve helped me so much!

LOL of course! It’s even ok after the baby! Most likely, coupons won’t be at the top of your priority list!

This made me laugh… I have a 7 month old and I keep inventing new ways to organize my qs…. it’s so not happening. Nothing works! :)

The dating-insert method would at least buy me some time!
