Have you heard about Free Mocha Mondays? Every Monday at McDonald’s until August 3rd, you can stop by to get a free McCafe Mocha, hot or iced, from 7am-7pm. No purchase necessary!
Since I gave up my Starbucks habit when my frugal journey began, this freebie is right up my alley. Bloggy pal Amy and I decided to try a nice cold mocha today during the summer heat.
Turns out the free mochas are on the small side, but they were actually delicious and really hit the spot! Aren’t they adorable?

I went to get the McDonalds free coffee today. Did you try it? I think it tasted weird… and they added like hershey’s syrup or some type of fudge and it wasn’t even blended in with the drink so it just came in chunks through the straw…
lol i like their original ice coffee drink. forgot what its called haha. =)

I got my free iced mocha yesterday. I was expecting the size to be small (although they were normal size when they did free Wed. 2 years ago), and I thought it looked cute. My only problem was that my iced mocha was almost hot. I don’t know if they put ice in it at all or if it was premade and sat for awhile.
But, it was free…and I still enjoyed it

I got my free mocha yesterday (although the cashier almost looked annoyed at me for asking, but whatever), and kind of giggled at the size. It was very cute. Too bad mine was almost all ice, so I got about 2 sips and it was gone. I agree with another poster, I like their Caramel Iced Coffee better, but free is free, and I’ll probably be back next Monday.

I did try the mocha, and I must say it really was delicious! They had to make it fresh, we actually waited a while. It seemed like no one else knew about the deal, even the cashier seemed confused. But hey, the price was right! And yep, I will be back next Monday, too!

My husband and I sampled the hot and cold coffees yesterday. Even though they were free, they tasted AWFUL. Ugh. It was like drinking triple shots of really bad espresso with no sugar to soften the blow. Even with sugar added, the drinks were more muddy than coffee. Maybe next Monday, a different McD’s will have a better recipe…
