Shopping Results: Kroger Mega Savings Event

August 25, 2009 · 6 comments

Have you hit the Kroger Mega Savings event yet? It continues through September 2nd, and I encourage you to check it out. I finally had the opportunity to take advantage of this awesome sale.

Here are my results:

Summer 2009 046

I used my $30 Gift Card from My Blog Spark, and LOTS of coupons.

My total for the items pictured above was…

$33.29!

I was quite pleased with these results. It was a long, complicated shopping trip, but well worth my time. I saved nearly $100 by combining coupons and e-coupons with the $5 off 10 item Mega Savings.

I am especially happy about the Cascadian Farms organic cereals, which you can print $1.00/1 coupons for here.

I also utilized some coupons for free items,  which I had been saving for a sale such as this.  Saving free coupons for special sales is a great strategy to save big.

Remember this Mega Event is happening at all the Kroger Family of stores, including Fry’s, Ralphs, and King Soopers.  You can find coupon matchups for the event here , here and here.

Congrats to the winner of my $30.00 Kroger Gift Card giveaway, commenter #10, Cheryl!

Hey Diann! Great question, it is actually not a zip code specific coupon, and I just figured out why you are not seeing it.

It is labeled as “Save $1.00 on Small Planet Foods”, and underneath in smaller font, it says “Cascadian Farm”. Go figure!

You should be able to print 2 per computer, using the back button on your browser. Hope this helps! :)

Thanks for linking to my Kroger coupon matchups!

Also, many of the boxes of Cascadian Farm cereal at my Kroger had coupons attached to them (they said, “Save $4 now”), so I was able to pull them off during my trip and get 6 boxes rather than just 2 (the amount of printables that I had) with $1.00 off coupons.

Corrie, thanks for the heads up! I was just at Kroger tonight and I didn’t even think to look at the Cascadian Farm Cereal since I had no coupons. :(

Can you use paper coupons along with the cellfire coupons? What about paper and both electronic coupon sites?
