The Wii That Swag Bucks Bought…

Summer 2009 002

Do you recognize that smiley-faced boxed? My fellow Amazon fans will know. This box arrived on my porch last week.

It contained something I never thought I would own:

Summer 2009 003Yes, a Wii! With an extra remote.

Guess how much I paid!?

Nope.

Guess again.

Lower…

Give up?

NOTHING out of pocket.

ZERO.

Because I paid for it with the $5 Amazon Gift Cards I have been collecting for months via Swag Bucks.  So for all you skeptics (you know who you are), Swag Bucks really do work!

Here’s how I did it:

I use Swag Bucks for all my online searches.  The results are powered by Google, so they are just as reliable. Every day, I would earn a few bucks from searches in my account.

I encouraged my friends, family, and my awesome readers to sign up for Swag Bucks, which helped me earn more. After I racked up enough bucks, I began redeeming them for $5 Amazon Gift cards in the Swag Store, at the cost of 45 bucks a piece.

Finally, after months of waiting and literally hundreds of Swag Bucks later, I made my big purchase. I am not sure what I enjoyed more, opening that lovely box above or seeing the astonished look on my husband’s face when I told him how much I paid!

Now Swag Bucks are easier than ever to earn with some new features released this month:

1)  BRAND NEW Swag Bucks toolbar: the new toolbar was released on Sept 1st and is compatible with IE, Firefox and Safari.   Members can log into to their account through the new toolbar in addition to being able to track their points.  Additionally, in September, EVERY SINGLE DAY, there is a special “Swag Code” released through the toolbar. By the end of the month, those that have installed the toolbar should be able to rack up up to 30 FREE SWAG BUCKS!

2) SWAGGO! -  Swaggo is Swagbucks.com answer to BINGO!   During the month of September when you order selected prizes through the Swag Store you will be sent a special SWAGGO piece.  If you collect all the pieces in a row, just let them know and you will be awarded 1000 Swag Bucks!

3)  A new “Back to School” section in the Swag Store:  This section will feature everything your child may need as they get ready for the new school year.  The “Back to School” section will feature an assortment of items for elementary schoolers up to high schoolers!

Be sure to follow Swag Bucks on Twitter as they often release special codes for their followers. Fridays are Mega Swag Bucks Days, where you just might win 5, 10, or even 50 Swag Bucks with a single search!

So now that I finally have a Wii {squeee!}, I am now saving those bucks for our Christmas gift fund. Why not start yours today?
