CVS Black Friday: Newbie Scenarios

November 26, 2009 · 8 comments

CVS

CVS is starting Black Friday deals at most locations on Thanksgiving. It is a 3-day sale, with numerous freebies!

This type of event can be overwhelming, to say the least, to the those new to playing the CVS game. Last year, I hit my local 24-hour CVS with a buddy at midnight. It was packed. We even made a video and lived to blog about it!

I have put together a few simple scenarios for newbies this year with a little help from Surviving the Stores.

The goal is to spend as little out-of-pocket as possible, utilizing coupons and “rolling” your ECBs. This means small multiple transactions, and hopefully a patient cashier!  Even though it’s a 3-Day sale, most of these items will be sold out very quickly (as in, I would recommend getting there first thing in the morning!)

So grab your ExtraCare Card, some coupons, and feel free to print these scenarios for your own use:

I found a coupon next to the register last week to double your ECBs. Sounds like if you use it once it doubles all ECBs after that in Nov/Dec and they are available to redeem in January.
