November 11th, 2009. Day 11 of The 30-Day Giving Challenge, and a day to honor our veterans. Words cannot possibly express my gratitude for their service.
I love this quote from The Happy Housewife’s blog:
Not everyone is able to serve in our Armed Forces, but everyone can serve our Armed Forces.
Read her 13 Things You Can do to Support Our Troops for some ideas. Perhaps you can incorporate a few into the Challenge today or throughout the month.
There are several freebies available for Veterans today. Share The Thrifty Mama’s round-up with a Veteran you know.
Did you know that military families can utilize expired coupons overseas? Clean out your coupon binder today and then read about this program over at Mommy Snacks.
As we continue the Giving Challenge, I just want to tell you how thankful I am for my readers and those participating. Together, we are making a difference!

What ideas do you have for honoring our Veterans? If you wrote a post about the military or Veterans Day, I would love to read it! Share in the linky below.
Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13

I just want to thank you for the great post & ideas. Also with your 30 day giving Challenge you have inspired me to do more. I gave my daughters friend a surprise birthday gift and today I went to ToysRUs for xmas shopping. They had board games on sale 3.99-9.99. I bought a couple so that I can donate them to toys for tots. It really feels good to give. Thank you again for the inspiration.
