In North Texas, this is a rare treat. What could be more frugal than jumping in a crisp pile of leaves?

3 Toni November 4, 2009 at 2:50 pm: Yes – we had so many leaves this year (Indiana) that I had blisters on my hands from raking! I’m just thankful that the rain knocked them all down at once – instead of having to rake several times.

Kids love the simple things – and those simple things usually make the best times! Cute!

I agree, simple things are the best. And wow, that is a lot of leaves you have, Toni! We just have one little tree in our front yard that created this pile, and we so appreciate the brilliant colors!

9 Anna November 5, 2009 at 4:33 am: Looks like so much fun! We get even less fall leaves here in FL. I bought some silk leaves and let the kids throw them up in the air and roll on them (about 90 leaves)! They had fun, but it’s just not quite the same. SIGH.

These were actually in my front yard from one little tree, can you believe it? The leaves were only that color for about 2 days, and then they turned brown. It was a nice treat while it lasted!
