Wordless Wednesday: Make-A-Wish

November 11, 2009 · 1 comment

So you know how we stopped by the mall the other day to do a little giving? Well, we did not stop at Sears. Next stop… Macy’s!

Macy's

I think I can count on one hand the number of times I have taken my children inside a department store. But it was for a good cause, so we bravely stormed entered the heavily perfumed pleasant smelling Macy’s.

We quickly found our destination: the big red mailbox you see above. You’ll find one in all Macy’s right now for their Believe program.

For every letter mailed to Santa this season, Macy’s will donate $1.00 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, up to $1 million.

macys1Although we typically don’t make a big deal out of Santa in our home, my girls still enjoyed sitting down and writing letters, complete with a stamp and their Christmas wishes…

macys2…which were promptly mailed by my peace-sign-flashing 4th grader.

A quick and easy way to support a worthy cause!

Hi, What a wonderful topic to share. I am a new follower. In fact, I’m new to this whole blogging thing, if I’ve done anything wrong here I apologize ahead of time. Great pics. Won’t you come by me and follow me? Have a great day.
