It worked for me this time! Wohoo! Usually I go in and an item is not there or my store doesn’t have it. This time it worked perfectly. Yes!

I found a few things this week. It’s difficult when the good $5/$20 coupons expire – those always give a little extra “wiggle” room :) I’m sure I’ll find something to make another trip anyway!

Nice job!

I have a question. To get the $10 ECB for the Pepsi stuff, you have to “spend” $20. If you do 4 bags of Tostitos at 2/$7 ($14) and 2 bags of Stacy’s Chips at 2/$6 = $20. Will you still get the $10 ECB if you use $1 off coupons for the Stacey’s chips, making it actually $18 OOP?

Meredith,

You just have to buy “$20 Worth.” CVS does not base their ECB program on the actual $ spent OOP. So, as long as you buy $20 Worth of the PepsiCo products before coupons, you can spend as little OOP after coupons and ECBs and still receive your ECBs.

At my CVS, there is a tear off coupon by the chips giving you a free jar of salsa when you buy 2 bags of Tostitos…fun when you are buying the Tostitos to meet the $10 ECB Pepsi deal!

Spoke with Money Savings Secrets Blog this week and she told me to not stress if my trip did not go as planned. I reminded myself of that before walking through the door and just took what I could get and still saved myself over $11!

I love reading your challenges and I want to share my success today! My daughter is getting married this summer and we are doing a candy buffet for favors. I need green M&M’s and they are pricey, even in bulk ($9.99 lb).
I had a $25 gift card for transferring a prescription to CVS, $2 birthday EB, $4 off $20 EB, manufacturers coupons and I earned multiple $2 EB splitting my transactions up. I also had them price match to Rite Aide’s sale . So I got 18 bags of M&M’s for a total investment of $4 with $2 EB to spare! I figure that I have saved myself over $14o if I had to buy in bulk and pay the shipping.
