Walgreens: Crest Toothpaste Deal in February

February 16, 2010 · 5 comments

crest-toothpasteThere is a great stock up price all month long for Crest Toothpaste at Walgreens.  This would be a great addition to your weekly $5 Challenge scenarios!

Here’s how it works:

Buy 1 Crest Cavity Protection Toothpaste (6.4 oz.) @ $2.29
$0.75/1 Crest Toothpaste or Liquid Gel, exp. 3-31-10 (P&G insert 02/07/10)
$1.50/1 Select Crest Toothpastes, exp. 2-27-10 (Walgreens, Feb Coupon Booklet)

$0.04 after both coupons!

This price may vary slightly by region, but should be very cheap or close to free in most areas!

You could order additional manufacturer coupons from a clipping service such as The Coupon Clippers.  Keep in mind you only need to use one Walgreens coupon in a transaction, regardless of how many tubes you are buying. The register will automatically deduct $1.50 per item.

I tried to do this deal today. The cash register would not take my coupon. What could be wrong?

Thanks for posting this. I went to my local Walgreen’s today. I got two tubes of Crest for .34 cents each. The original price on the toothpaste was $2.59 at my Walgreen’s, but hey, .34 cents for a tube of toothpaste is a-ok in my book… especially in my checkbook!

I also tried this deal today! I bought one Crest @ $2.69 (that’s the going price at my store) and used the $1.50 Walgreens coupon and the $0.75 manufacturer’s coupon. The register ‘beeped’ at the 2nd coupon twice, until he finally rang it in by hand. In looking at my receipt, both coupons rang up as Manufacturer Coupons. The fine print of the Walgreens coupon says, “Manufacturer coupon good only at Walgreens. Not valid wih any other offer.” So, I wonder what the story is? Are you NOT actually allowed to use the Walgreens coupons and the manu. coupons? (By the way, though, 0.44 for toothpaste was an excellent deal, even if I only get to do it once!)
