EcoSMART Natural Bug Killer Giveaway

April 4, 2010 · 150 comments

Spring is finally here in Texas, and after all of that snow, the nice weather is a welcome relief. But with nice weather, gardening, and outdoor fun comes pesky, unwelcome bugs.

I really do not like putting chemicals and pesticides on my lawn. My kids play on the lawn, the dogs spend time outdoors, and those chemicals can seep into ground water. The phrase, “You reap what you sow,” comes into mind. I don’t want to be “sowing” any chemicals into the ground to eventually “reap” the bad stuff that comes back into our home.

But what about those pesky bugs? I do not want them taking over our beautiful flowers, so I need a natural solution.

We have 2 kids and a dog. I have an auto-immune disease and we’d like to have this in order NOT to poison our family with chemicals that have unknown effects.

perfect timing! Just found an ant trail I wasn’t sure how to get rid of since I didn’t want to use harmful chemicals, especially with the little ones around.

I’m an avid gardener who battles bugs! I start my garden in my kitchen window starting in March~having the plants destroyed by bugs or disease six months later is heartbreaking! :)

My son is 14-months old and I also worry about putting chemicals into our yard where he will play. We also have a garden and I definitely do not want chemicals getting onto our food. Thanks for all that you do!

I have a crazy ant problem in my kitchen, but don’t like using too many chemicals because it’s the KITCHEN!

11 christi G. April 6, 2010 at 10:09 am

I would love to have this set! I live in Texas where bugs are common year round and since we have a creek in the back yard and pecans in the front we have a mosquito, wasp, hornet and cockroach problems. I HATE to use nasty chemicals but I am losing this war!

12 Riannon April 6, 2010 at 10:11 am

I would love this products! I am slowly converting everything in my home to eco friendly products. It is a slow transition but every little bit helps!

We have 3 young children that enjoy playing in our backyard. Our youngest had open heart surgery at 6 weeks old and has had health issues ever since. He will need a follow-up surgery that he has to be healthy for. We keep a garden to cut down on food costs and to eat healthier. Since my husband is a pastor we keep a pretty tight budget. This package would be invaluable to us!

We have two boys who are always outside playing, plus a dog outside with them. Plus a baby girl on the way… We have a lot of land to treat with insectisides to keep the bugs off our kids/pets, and I’d much rather have something kid/pet-friendly, than toxic chemicals!

19 Rebecca Scott April 6, 2010 at 11:53 am

We have lots of ants that we can’t seem to get rid of, but I don’t want to use any chemicals that could harm my baby girl who is just starting to crawl or our dog.

I would love to win this because we are starting an outdoor garden and will be spending time outdoors more. I have a daughter turning 3 this summer and one turning 11 this month, and I would prefer to use this instead of harmful chemicals.

26 Renita April 6, 2010 at 3:25 pm

Would LOVE to receive this because my son has super sensitive skin, so bug bites make him break out horribly, but so do most repellants and treatments. This would be such a blessing!

Hi Alyssa,

I’m a long time RSS subscriber. And I’d love a healthy, chemical free lawn (these products would help convince my husband that can be done!) Our garden is organic because I’m in charge there, but the lawn…oh the lawn….

Living in an old farmhouse is daunting, with red wasps constantly stinging everyone. My grandkids are terrified and have to “run the gauntlet” through the porch to get past them. Your wasp spray is the only sensible solution!
