For years okay, months, I resisted it. Facebook seemed like one more distraction I did not need. And while it can be a distraction if not kept in moderation, it has also brought many good things to my life.
Connections with old friends, sharing of information, a way to keep up with long distance family members… oh, and of course the freebies are a nice perk, too. 
But what I most enjoy about Facebook is the “page” feature. Since creating a page for KingdomFirstMom.com, nearly 3,000 of you have clicked that infamous “like” button. There, I post updates, ask questions, share Bible Verses, and interact with my readers every day. Much to my surprise, it has become a community extension of my blog, which I love!
With that mission in mind, I was recently inspired to start sharing daily frugal tips on Facebook. Updates are quick and instant, and can be shared with a simple click. There I can help others “find creative ways to reduce spending”.
But I want your help! I would love to share YOUR frugal tips on Facebook. There are so many ways we can inspire each other to save more in order to give more.
So here is what I am asking. A call to action! Send me your simple, yet creative frugal tips. You can even include a photo or a link!

To save money and use fresh chicken breasts we cut ours in half length wise for better portions and getting two meals out of one package.

My sisters and I get together and have a cooking day. We see what each other has on hand and we get about a weeks worth of meals at no cost…

Loved reading the few I’ve seen lately. Some I’ll use, others just make me laugh. But that’s the best part about it is all the different ideas that are out there. Guess it makes me appreciate others’ ideas.

FRUGAL TIP: a GREAT FREE teaching tool for small children:
I use the (annoying) subscription cards out of magazines to teach my little ones learning to write their name & address. They LOVE having their own “official” looking document & I love that it cuts down on paper waste. Even the pre-k & K teachers love the idea.
PS I LOVE Starbucks gift cards, lol!

When I find milk on mark down, especially skim milk, I buy it and freeze it. We rarely run out of milk and I got it at a bargain. Milk remains good for about one week after the sale by date. It doesn’t taste bad when thawed out. The skim freezes the best since it is lowest in cream.

Instead of buying the expensive shaving creams, I buy the cheap conditioners. Works GREAT and lasts sooooo much longer!
