Thanks Alyssa — It’s a good, simple week for a freebies at CVS;)

  2. Alyssa Francis says:

@Claire at Saving Money Plan, It sure is a great week! Thanks so much for participating each week, Claire.

  3. This was a lot of fun! This is my first challenge, thanks for the opportunity!

  4. I hope this isn’t cheating, but our CVS is NOT a 24 hour store, which means they simultaneously run both weeks sales at the same time on Saturdays. That’s when I go in (good thing too because a lot is sold out and it’s not even Sunday yet) and this is the amazing deal I got! $43.52 in stuff and paid only $4 Out of Pocket. I also did not start out with any previous ECB’s.

    transaction #1-Skintimate Shave Gel (used $0.75 Q) – paid $3.24 OOP, got $3 ECB

Transaction #2-Candy Corn – $0.99, Energy Chews – $1.99 – paid w/ my $3 ECB from Gel and got $3 ECB’s in return for candy and chews.

Transaction #3-Tylenol Precise ($5.99) (used $2 CVS printable and $2 MFG printable) used $2 ECB from Chews = Free (I think I paid pennies in tax) got $5.99 in ECB’s, Men’s Nivea Wash ($4.99) (used $1 MFG from some Sunday paper) Paid with $1 ECB from Candy and used my $3/10 in Grocery Coupon I got when I walked in and scanned my card. Everything came out free (again, paid pennies in tax) In return I got back $5.99 ECB’s from Tylenol and $4.99 ECB’s from Wash = about $11 in ECB’s toward my next transaction:

Transaction #5: Huggies ($8.99 from last weeks’ sale) bought 2 packages. Huggies wipes ($3.59), Purex ($3.99)

coupons used: $5/25 CVS coupon, save $4 when you buy huggies and wipes CVS coupon, $0.50 off huggies wipes from some sunday paper, $4 off Huggies when you buy 2 printable, $0.35 off Purex (sunday paper) I then used my 11 in ECB’s from the last transaction and paid $0.17 out of pocket. Received $2 ECB’s from the Purex for next week.

Altogether paid almost $4 for everything and still have $2 ECB’s for next week! By far my best week at CVS EVER!!

  5. So I started couponing last month and I am still getting the hang of things and need the help of a coupon expert.. or at least the opinion. CVS is advertising a $6 ECB on Olay Regenerist this week. In today’s paper, they have a coupon for $1 off Olay moisturizer and B2 moisturizers G1 regenerist free. I also have two q’s from a previous paper that are B1 moisturizer, G1 Olay Body wash free. Could I, in theory, team these all up together?
IE- Buy two moisturizers, two body washes, and one regenerist. Use the $1 off for the moisturizer, use the 2 Q’s for free body wash for the body wash AND use the B2G1 regenerist Q for the Regenerist and get $6 back? So, all I’d be paying for is the 2 moisturizers -$1 off and getting the other 3 items free. Is that a legitimate deal? I’d appreciate any feedback!!

  6. How do you use a $3 off 10 grocery Q when you are buying Tylenol Precise and energy chews? That doesn’t seem legit.

  7. @Melissa, I’d have to say that it’s really up to the person checking you out. Technically those are both items found at a grocery store at least that was the argument I made. The week before I used $3/10 Grocery on their summer clearance and she let me use it on beach balls and flip flops. I guess it just depends on who is checking you out.

  8. @Nikki Eddy, Oh, and the $3/10 wasn’t on Energy chews, it was on the Tylenola and Body wash. I paid for the Energy Chews w/ my ECB’s from the shave gel.

  9. very successful trip!

    4 lysol wipes @ 2.50 ea
    1 bounty basic paper towels 8pk @ 5.49 [3 day sale]
    1 tylenol precise @ 5.99
    1 lays bbq chips @ .99
    - $4 off $20 cvs cpn
    - $2 cvs tylenol cpn
    - $2 tylenol manf cpn
    - (4) $1 lysol wipe cpns (from hangtags in bi-lo earlier this summer)
    - $.25 bounty cpn
    - $10 ecb last week [johnson&johnson baby deal]

    subtotal $.22
    tax $1.24
    total oop $1.46!! + i received $7 ecb [$2 tylenol, $5 lysol]

  10. Thanks I haven’t been to cvs in a bit so hoping things will pick up soon.
